Level-5 is possible reduce western operationsbut it is actually still releasing new titles in this part of the world.
Following is the local launch of Fantasy Life Online for mobile last December, it is now released Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds for PCs and smartphones with the help of Korean developer Netmarble. As stunning as the trailer (featuring a “real gameplay recording” and a collaboration reference with famous animation company Studio Ghibli) it seems this game isn’t quite as clean as it looks.
As highlighted by Kotakuit’s actually filled with “crypto nonsense”:
“This is actually a gacha game that also has cryptocurrency b *** s *** baked into it. Netmarble has its own cryptocurrency wallet called Marblex, and as this helpful website shows, players can pick up items in the game, trade them for Asterite or Territe Tokens Netmarble (which is the currency that can be traded on Marblex), then convert it into another cryptocurrency. “
And here is a picture of the exchange process, taken directly from the game’s website:
If that’s not enough, at least the front page of the website also mentions a “blockchain system” in place, and the roadmap for the game includes adding NFT in Q4 2022 …
“Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds uses a blockchain system based on gameplay, giving players who enjoy Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds the opportunity to play to earn tokens through gameplay.
“Players can earn two types of tokens in the Ni no Kuni block system: Cross Worlds, and our team will do our best to maintain token value.”
Level-5, as mentioned before, is reported to reduce the focus on the west. The latest release on Switch is a Japanese mech RPG, Megaton Musashi.
If all of this has made you passionate about Ni no Kuni, there are some great Ni no Kuni games you can try on the Switch: Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch and Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. Level-5 is also best known for other similar series Inazuma Eleven, Professor Layton with Yo-kai Watch series.
