The UK announced the NFT to promote national crypto initiatives
British Government declare plans are to make the UK a global hub for investment and technology in crypto assets. The UK is seeking to make stablecoin a legitimate form of payment, and the Royal Mint will issue an NFT to boost Britain’s crypto push. “The measures that have been outlined today will help ensure companies can invest, innovate and scale in the country,” UK Finance Minister Rishi Sunak said in the announcement. This is just a few weeks after the state financial regulator declare all bitcoin ATMs in the UK are illegal and ordered to be shut down. The state advertising authority has also cracking down on crypto advertising in the country for failing to highlight the risks associated with cryptocurrency investments.
U.S. authorities seized $ 34M in Crypto in the South Florida Case
U.S. authorities seized 34 million cryptocurrencies allegedly made from the sale of illegal goods and accounts stolen from online services, including HBO, Netflix and Uber, on the dark web, The Justice Department said Monday. The DOJ says this is one of the largest cryptocurrency foreclosure actions the U.S. has filed. The announcement does not specify the identities of south Florida residents seized from the cryptocurrency or if the DOJ is seeking further legal action.
Robinhood rolls out a cryptocurrency wallet for someone on a waiting list
Robinhood cryptocurrency wallets are now available to eligible users who previously signed up for the waiting list. The release of the wallet was announced by Robinhood CPO Aparna Chennapragada on Monday at a Bitcoin conference in Miami. Robinhood crypto wallets allow the transfer of cryptocurrencies to external wallets with daily withdrawals limited to $ 2,999 total and 10 transactions. However, residents in Hawaii, New York and Nevada are not eligible to sign up, due to state regulations. Robinhood hassince the company’s role in the GameStop stock saga.
ESPN’s Tom Brady sells NFT for the promotion of a documentary series
The NFT collection from ESPN and Tom Brady was released Wednesday in concert with Tom Brady’s documentary series ‘Man in the Arena: Tom Brady’ coming on Hulu and Disney Plus. NFT featured the cover of ESPN magazine from Brady, from $ 100 to $ 500 and already expire. Brady, along with his wife, Gisele Bündchen, previously took an equity stake in the cryptocurrency exchange FTX and released a commercial for the crypto company.
The NFT stick figure is selling for thousands of dollars
Over $ 100 million in cryptocurrency has been used for ‘mfers,’ the NFT collection featuring images of stick figures in front of a street background.
