ITV Studios to Host Hell’s Kitchen Metaverse Experience in The Sandbox
Hell’s Kitchen, a reality cooking contest hosted by famed British chef Gordon Ramsay, is venturing into the virtual world in partnership with Metaverse platform The Sandbox. Ramsay provides a personal input into the design of Hells’ kitchen virtual experience. Expand to Polygon Making the ecosystem cheaper and greener.
In the announcement, Sandbox said the partnership would later add “Hell’s Kitchen-themed assets, including a limited-edition Gordon Ramsay avatar,” for players and Metaverse enthusiasts to contribute their own experiences. You can watch the teaser trailer for the partnership here.
Hosted by Ramsay himself, hell’s kitchen is an American reality cooking contest show that premiered on Fox in 2005. Since then, the show has traveled to 24 locations around the world, and over 20 seasons he has been nominated for six Primetime His Emmy Awards.
In the show, two teams of chefs compete each season for the position of head chef at a restaurant. The partnership between Hell’s Kitchen and Sandbox marks the first culinary-themed Metaverse experience coming to the platform.
