Karuntaka state minister Ashwath Narayan said on Sunday that the new theme park near the Kempegowda statue will bring a Metaverse experience to tourists visiting the site.
In response to a Twitter user’s question about the government’s efforts to boost tourism like Gujarat’s through the Statue of Unity, Narayan tweeted: The government is also building a themed park reflecting Kempegowda’s Bengaluru thoughts at the location of #StatueOfProsperity. Theme parks include small lakes, cultural symbols, museums and Metaverse experiences that represent a rich heritage and technological prowess. ”
The minister shared blueprints for the theme park and said it would attract tourists at the airport.
“This theme park will be integrated with sacred soil and water collected from different villages in Karnataka, including all 31 districts of Karnataka. It will be a huge attraction for all the tourists coming and going,” he said.
On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a statue of ruler Kempegowda, known as the fortress of Bengaluru. This statue is also known as the “Prosperity Statue”. The Prime Minister also unveiled the new Terminal 2 at Kempegowda International Airport.
The newest terminal is expected to be operational by December and will serve approximately 25 million passengers annually.
