Legendary American actor and comedian Bill Murray Is launching a new Ethereum-based NFT project this month with a focus on his life and stories about his life.

The project will offer 1,000 NFT merchandise based on 100 stories from Murray’s career, including Murray’s films and Saturday Night Live careers. According to the report, each NFT is based on Murray’s original painting by artist David Grizzle with a unique background. Each piece also tells a story about Murray through text and images.
Jackson Murray told Decrypt that his dad was interested in the NFT project after chatting with Chives co-founder and President John Resig. Resig called the next period of Murray’s evolution “definitely an NFT,” but the actors initially disagreed. However, Jackson says his father finally came up with the idea of launching an NFT collection and was fully aware of the potential of digital items.
Jackson said his father was thinking of creating a membership pass that would give collectors incentives, such as access to upcoming face-to-face events to meet celebrity actors. The NFT collection also provides a way for Murray to share his true story with the world.
Jackson said,
I’m always asked:’Is this story true? Is this a real event? [The NFTs are] A vehicle for me, and [Bill] I’m also confident that I can answer these questions without having to repeat the same story nine times in a row.
