As you may know, much of the North American Bitcoin mining industry is trying to mitigate the global climate hysterics by pointing out the fact that many Bitcoin miners are leveraging renewable energy in the long run. I think you’re making some strategic mistakes that will help you “phasically decommission” fossil fuels over time.
Indeed, many Bitcoin miners take advantage of artificially low electricity prices driven by large subsidies provided to “green” energy sources such as wind and solar throughout the United States. However, people driving these miners bend their knees and stumble on themselves. Collecting data and writing letters with a bunch of signatures from players in the big industry is never satisfying. The mining industry could have a 100% “renewable energy” energy mix, and hysterics would find a way to move the goalpost. In fact, they have already started it.
Peter may not be completely aware of the fact that Bitcoin miners may literally be the only potential users of these “renewable” energy sources, but these people live in. Facts are not important in the world of hysterical clowns. Control. They have no control over Bitcoin, so find in the book all the excuses that try to prevent Bitcoin from succeeding, no matter how illogical.
By handing over frames to these hysterics and working to soften them, the Bitcoin mining industry is justifying their pointless position. Instead, you should own the frame and work to build it based on the facts. And the facts are very simple. Humans are good. Increased energy expenditure correlates with increased human prosperity. Hydrocarbons are an important part of our future. And Bitcoin’s standards make the world very much for the incentives presented under sound money standards and the way Bitcoin brings its standards through proof of work with difficulty adjustments. Make it energy efficient.
Stop acting like a large number of losers who need permission to make the world a better place, and start acting like a confident group already working hard to make the world a better place increase.
I was able to sit down with Dr. Cipher Dean Amos this morning to discuss this topic in detail. I highly recommend that you peep into the conversation and think seriously about how harmful it is in the long run to give up the frame to these people. It’s a huge waste of time.
