D Universe, the world’s first city-level design metaverse platform, debuted in Shanghai this week.
It supports the development and integration of urban design, fashion and digitalization.
The platform, which covers five sectors of fashion, industry, architecture, digital and services, made its global debut on Friday. According to the Shanghai Economic Informatization Commission, this will support the digital economy and the planning of Shanghai’s global design city.
Metaverse uses state-of-the-art technology to build virtual worlds and later generate billions of dollars in the real world, driving innovation and the digital economy in the post-pandemic era.
In addition to the D Universe, Shanghai will launch a series of events to promote Shanghai-made products and brands, as well as digital economic platforms, to stimulate post-pandemic consumption and economic recovery.
“Shanghai needs to tell the story of Made in Shanghai for fashion and manufacturing and promote a deep integration of digital technology and the real economy,” said Wang Jiangping, Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology.
By 2025, the city’s fashion consumer industry will reach 520 billion yuan (US $ 80 billion), with 10 smart factories, 100 iconic digital application scenarios, and 1,000 applications integrated with shopping, services and culture. Will be done. According to government officials, these target the fashion, cosmetics, exquisite food, sportswear, smart devices, lifestyle, industrial design and digital sectors.
Local brands such as Bright Food, Tramy and Warrior, with a century of history, attended the event with products and innovation.
