Is Metaverse Ready For Its iPhone Moment?

The Metaverse continues to evolve, and the latest entrants in this world are the Metaverse or cryptographic phones. HTC’s Metaverse phone Desire 22 Pro, the sequel to last year’s HTC Desire 21 Pro, and blockchain company Solana’s next crypto phone Saga, could collaborate with Android developer Osom to become a technology game changer. ..

The HTC Desire 22 Pro is estimated to be released in India around September 30, 2022, with a starting price of around Rs30,530. Solana Labs announced the launch of the Web3 smartphone Saga, which will be available in 2023, at an event held in New York City last week.

Given the new launch, will this be the iPhone moment in the Metaverse world? How does the Metaverse phone affect the world? The answers to some of these questions are still difficult to give. In the meantime, I’ll tell you what they offer.

    What is a Metaverse Phone?

The Metaverse Phone is a next-generation device that combines the security of cryptographic hardware wallets with the ease of use of smartphones to provide highly secure cryptographic gadgets.

Through the Metaverse phone, users can easily access the Metaverse community via a mobile browser. Users can also experience livestreaming music and video content and seamlessly switch between realities.

“The Metaverse is still in the evolutionary stage and everyone is trying to find the right device to help make the Metaverse available to more viewers. Users are looking for something new to explore the Metaverse. The phone is clearly the perfect choice because you don’t have to buy it. The biggest advantage is that it allows more people to access the Metaverse and, depending on the device’s specifications, makes it easier to consume content in the Metaverse. That’s what we can do, “said Piyush Gupta, president of digital marketing firm Kestone.

Features of HTC Desire 22 Pro

HTC’s Desire 22 Pro approach is similar to the previous blockchain-powered smartphone, Exodus 1. It was released in 2018 and was followed by the more affordable Exodus 1S the following year.

HTC’s Desire 22 Pro is the first mid-range device on your smartphone to offer a metaverse experience.

HTC Desire 22 Pro comes with a preloaded app VIVERSE to help you navigate the Metaverse and manage cryptocurrencies and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). According to the details on the HTC website, users can browse and trade on the VIVE market, put Ethereum and polygon chain cryptocurrencies in their VIVE wallets, and invite friends to the Metaverse world as guests.

The VIVERSE platform combines VR, AR, AI and blockchain, with 5G being the main component. Desire 22 pro is also the best partner for VIVE Flow immersive VR glasses. It’s easy to connect, pair and experience the VIVERSE Metaverse community.

The HTC Desire 22 Pro has an integrated crypto wallet for Ethereum-based and polygon-based assets, similar to previous HTC crypto phones. I’m trying to combine blockchain phone credentials with a VR product line with Desire22 Pro.

The HTC Desire 22 Pro is a mid-range smartphone with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space.

    Characteristics of Saga in Solana

A Saga smartphone running Google’s Android OS costs about $ 1,000 and includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, a 6.67-inch OLED display, 12 GB RAM, and 512 GB of internal storage. For Solana’s blog post.

    Solana
Solana Saga also supports decentralized apps based on the Solana blockchain.

The blog post added that the Saga Pass, an NFT that comes with the first wave of Saga devices and the first ticket that will impact the future of the platform, may be offered to pre-orderers.

The phone also supports decentralized apps based on the Solana blockchain. Saga and Solana’s new software efforts are supported by Magic Eden on the NFT marketplace, Phantom, a Solana wallet maker, and Orca, a cryptocurrency exchange.

Do these phones work for the masses?

Consumers want a mobile-friendly experience. Smartphones attract a niche audience with blockchain and metaverse capabilities. “The Metaverse phone concept is cool and futuristic, and it would be very interesting to experience the phone to explore its features. But that may not work for the masses. It works in the Indian market. Whether or not you do it depends on who your product’s target audience is. If you’re an early adopter and you’re in the premium segment trying something new, it could work, and you’re already AR / B2B spaces that use VR devices to solve problems may also have traction, “Gupta adds.

Given that Indian smartphone consumers are interested in both features and price, both phones are expensive in technology and cost, so how these new era smartphones will work in the Indian market It will be interesting to see.
