according to report French fashion brand The Block has released the NFT collection to move towards the adoption of Web3 and increase online engagement. Lacoste, which also launched the Discord server earlier this month, hopes that the move towards modernization will appeal to a broader customer base.
According to the report, the collection contains 11,212 NFTs, which is a reference to the Lacoste Classic Fit L.12.12 polo shirt. The price of each part of the collection is 0.08 ETH.
Brock’s report also said in its press release that Lacoste allowed customers to become part of a “long-term collaboration community” by owning part of the collection.
The press release went on to say:
Collectors will have access to the pioneering ecosystems and digital, physical and empirical benefits of the crocodile world, including products co-created for them.
As The Block points out, Lacoste’s move into the NFT space has attracted other popular companies such as Gucci, TAG Heuer and Off-White that are adopting crypto services, including accepting crypto as a payment method. It’s a continuation.
